The history of Baume & Mercier is a true saga.
When I took on my current responsibilities, I had the privilege of hearing an account of its history straight from Simone Gaudard, great-granddaughter of Louis-Victor Baume, one of the founders of our watchmaking house.
Fascinated by this tale, I immersed myself in the company archives and in our collection of historical models, which led me on a journey through almost two centuries.
These memories preserve values to which I am profoundly attached: excellence, authenticity, open-mindedness and generosity.

Les Brenets: a modern Maîtrise d'Œuvre
Baume & Mercier watches are made in Les Brenets, the brand’s project management center located in the Swiss Jura.
This is where assembly of the highest quality is performed, based on a traditional production mode known as établissage.
In its modern industrial version, this method serves to unite the expertise of the finest partners in the sector, while maintaining in-house control of key operations and great flexibility.
