G-SHOCK introduces the first ever connected MT-G model, the MTGB1000-1A. This high-end model is the first in the series to boast Bluetooth® capabilities and BLE time-sync. The MTGB1000-1A features a polished look, complete with a redesigned core guard box frame, which yields a slimmer smaller case, and a new band structure composed of urethane and fine resin affixed to one another by screws, then securely affixed to the case with metal parts. The MTG-B1000 keeps accurate time anywhere in the world using the Connected Engine module. It connects to a time server via a paired smartphone or using radio wave time-calibration signals. The watch connects to the G-SHOCK Connected smartphone app to enable the user to easily set the world time and alarms from the app. The app also collects and analyzes usage data from the watch to realize various features such as reminding the user to charge the watch and warning about possible magnetic interference. The model also comes with premium features such as G-SHOCK’s Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping Technology, which provides accurate timekeeping virtually anywhere via radio signals from up to six different transmitters worldwide. Features a sapphire crystal to protect against scratching, tough solar technology, is equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of 200M water resistance, shock resistance, dual dial world time (up to 300 cities selectable within the app), a full auto Super Illuminator LED light, stopwatch and countdown timer, daily alarm, and full auto calendar.

Give your watch a quick check on a regular basis, wiping down the face and bracelet with a soft cloth, checking the leather on a strap, and making sure that the strap or bracelet is firmly attached to the watch face. Also, while many watches are water resistant, few are truly waterproof, so if you find that moisture or dust has penetrated the case of your watch, bring it into your local Ben Bridge store where we can have one of our watchmakers clean it out for you.

Our best advice on watch maintenance is to never attempt do-it-yourself repairs, no matter how handy you are or how good the instructions are on Youtube. Watches are super complex little machines and only an expert watchmaker should be trusted to get a watch back into working condition. Attempts by an untrained repair person may seriously damage the watch and can even invalidate factory warranties.

In general, having your watch checked regularly by your Personal Jeweler or watchmaker and serviced according to the manufacturer's guidelines should keep it in excellent shape.
