Award show season is here! Over the next few weeks, there are numerous different award shows celebrating the best of the best in television, movies, and music, inciting that Hollywood fashion buzz we all know and love.  We are already loving some of the trends that seem to be circling around the red carpet.

Yellow diamonds are here to shine! Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have paired gorgeous yellow canary diamonds – often matching their shimmering gowns.  Accepting a lifetime achievement award recently, Meryl Streep rocked a pair of 13.62 carat yellow diamond earrings by Harry Winston. To match her long-sleeved yellow Prada dress, Natalie Portman chose a white and yellow diamond ring created by Tiffany & Co. We also spotted Forevermark fancy yellow diamond drop earrings on Giuliani Rancic and Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond earrings on Reese Witherspoon. It may be winter, but yellow diamonds bring the spring.

We love branching out in the jewelry world, but no one can deny the power of a pair of diamond stud earrings. Spotted on Sophie Turner, Hailee Steinfeld, Brie Larson, and Emma Stone, it is clear that the classic look of big shine will never go out of style.

The cuffed or dropped earring look, diamond or otherwise, was also a recurring theme of the night. Stars like Janelle Monáe (quite the style icon) and Naomie Harris left the studs at home for the gorgeous dangle earring look.

Other styles we love and hope to see more of throughout the year – rose gold men’s watches, worn by Jimmy Fallon, diamond and black onyx necklaces, classic pearls, and one of our favorite looks, stacked diamond rings, as seen on Tracee Ellis Ross.

You never have to wait for the red carpet to get all dressed up. Host your own award show party, put on your finest jewelry, and hob-knob in your own social circle. You’ll feel like a million bucks.
