Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 Watch Steel Case Black Dial, 40mm
The Breitling Caliber 32 powers the GMT complication. Its 24-hour scale lets the user track a second time zone and know at a glance whether it's day or night, while the "onion" corwn (a classic Chronomat feature named for its fluted-dome shape) allows for easy adjustments. As an all-purpose sports watch, meant to cross over between Breitling's air, land, and sea universes, the GMT 40 has an impressive 200m water resistance.
Known as "a watch for every pursuit," the Chronomat mission is truer now than ever because of the GMT 40's practical size and understated style. Sturdy enough for the gym, yet smart enough for black tie: if there's one watch to travel with, this is it.

Give your watch a quick check on a regular basis, wiping down the face and bracelet with a soft cloth, checking the leather on a strap, and making sure that the strap or bracelet is firmly attached to the watch face. Also, while many watches are water resistant, few are truly waterproof, so if you find that moisture or dust has penetrated the case of your watch, bring it into your local Ben Bridge store where we can have one of our watchmakers clean it out for you.
Our best advice on watch maintenance is to never attempt do-it-yourself repairs, no matter how handy you are or how good the instructions are on Youtube. Watches are super complex little machines and only an expert watchmaker should be trusted to get a watch back into working condition. Attempts by an untrained repair person may seriously damage the watch and can even invalidate factory warranties.
In general, having your watch checked regularly by your Personal Jeweler or watchmaker and serviced according to the manufacturer's guidelines should keep it in excellent shape.
Breitling Watches
Breitling has its very own place among watch brands: the highly exclusive ‘stronghold’ of technical watches. Since 1884, Breitling has established a global reputation for high-precision timepieces, its pioneering role in the development of the wrist chronograph, and its uncompromising commitment to design excellence. Breitling manufactures its own movements in-house and the quality of every watch is confirmed by its status as a COSC-certified chronometer, made in Switzerland.
