Ben Bridge Jeweler has a rich history in art of watchmaking and giving back to our community is at the core of what drives us. In recent years we have seen the need for certified watchmakers grow steadily while the number of available watch technician and watchmaker training opportunities has declined.
Ben Bridge Jeweler offers several comprehensive training programs for those interested in becoming technicians and watchmakers.
Student Technician Training Program
We work closely with the watchmaking program at North Seattle, offering students the opportunity to utilize the skills that they are learning in class and apply them in real time at the watchmakers work bench in a retail setting. This paid internship offers students multi-brand specific training and invaluable hands-on experience.
Watch Technician Training Program
We offer a comprehensive Watch Technician training program that is a hands-on paid apprenticeship and training curriculum with the goal of promoting individuals into watchmaking. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to service quartz timepieces, assemble and disassemble watch cases and bracelet components, and provide case and bracelet polishing according to their technical and aesthetic characteristics in line with the manufacture specifications. In addition to these technical skills and horological theory, the students will also receive the needed customer service training required for customer-facing locations.
Watchmaker Training Program
Our watchmaker’s training program is for graduates of our Watch Technician training program who wish to continue their education opportunities and become certified watchmakers.
