IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team Black Dial Watch, 40mm
In 2013, IWC Schaffhausen became the “Official Engineering Partner” of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team. The Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team is the third official team watch IWC Schaffhausen has created for their longstanding motorsport partner. The 40-millimetre case is crafted from lightweight and remarkably rigid grade 5 titanium. Offering the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metal, titanium is also used in automotive engineering to produce car parts subject to immense stresses, such as engine valves. After machining and sandblasting, the surface retains an attractive greyish shimmer. Numerals and indices in the team’s signature green create a contrast with the black dial. The hands for the hours, minutes and seconds are coated with Super-LumiNova® of the same green color. At work inside the case is the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre, an automatic movement with a power reserve of 120 hours. This watch is water resistant to 10 bar and fitted with a Petronas green rubber strap featuring the EasX-CHANGE® strap change system.
IWC provides a standard 2-year International Limited Warranty and extension of an additional 6-year coverage by registering your watch through 'My IWC' after your purchase, totaling to 8 years.

Give your watch a quick check on a regular basis, wiping down the face and bracelet with a soft cloth, checking the leather on a strap, and making sure that the strap or bracelet is firmly attached to the watch face. Also, while many watches are water resistant, few are truly waterproof, so if you find that moisture or dust has penetrated the case of your watch, bring it into your local Ben Bridge store where we can have one of our watchmakers clean it out for you.
Our best advice on watch maintenance is to never attempt do-it-yourself repairs, no matter how handy you are or how good the instructions are on Youtube. Watches are super complex little machines and only an expert watchmaker should be trusted to get a watch back into working condition. Attempts by an untrained repair person may seriously damage the watch and can even invalidate factory warranties.
In general, having your watch checked regularly by your Personal Jeweler or watchmaker and serviced according to the manufacturer's guidelines should keep it in excellent shape.
